Lambda print on Fuji Crystal DP II archival paper

The Lambda print on Fuji Crystal DP II meets the most demanding standards: it is sharp, brilliant, and its colours are luminous. Professional photographers rely on its combination of ultra-modern laser technology, traditional photochemical development, and the renowned, high-end photo paper from Fujicolor. We typically supply a matte finish without borders although a gloss finish with or without a white border is available on request.

Direct print on Forex – matte photo print on a feather-light but stable backing

Forex BackingWith excellent image quality, the Forex PVC foam backing is remarkably light and allows you to hang even large formats on the wall with ease – and it won’t warp. The Epson 6-colour printing technology delivers razor-sharp detail and luminous colours and the UV-strengthened inks are resistant to water splashes. This is a much cheaper option than framing but still offers high quality.

The dense structure of the PVC-foam protects the image from scuffing and ensures it retains its shape through changes in temperature. This makes it ideal for displaying indoors or in sheltered outdoor areas. The material is extremely light but sturdy enough to hang large formats on the wall without bulky hanging elements.

[learn_more caption=”Classic Wooden Frame with Glass”]

Elegant wooden frame with passe-partout framing mat and floating glass

The frame is produced in Germany from solid wood with a simple, elegant moulding and flat profile.  We generally supply a black-stained wood with a 20mm profile but other colours and higher profiles are available on request: Natural Oak, Cherry, Maple, White Maple or Walnut with up to 80mm profile.

Printing is on Fujicolor Crystal Archive DP II paper – Fujicolor’s highest quality photo paper for gallery prints with exceptionally large colour gamut and certified colour-fastness for 75 years.

The mat is made of acid-free, Hahnemühle museum cardboard – guaranteed to be free of woody fibres and extremely light-resistant. We normally choose white or off-white for the mat but many other colours are available if preferred.

Premium quality canvas over solid wood stretcher frame

CanvasWith its unique matte surface, the Berger 360 gsm canvas gives the image a vibrant, tactile appearance. The canvas is mounted on a sturdy, solid wood frame without wedges and tightening or loosening at a later stage is unnecessary. Thanks to the 8-colour Epson pigment print, the surface is resistant to small splashes of water and colour shots have intense luminosity. The print extends around the edges of your frame, ensuring the strongest possible impression throughout the room.

Solid wood ArtBox with a natural but elegant appearance

A solid wood ArtBox is brilliant balance of weight and quality and our recommended format.

With this option, there is no shadow gap between the frame and image, just a 4mm profile appears as a ‘margin’ between the photograph and the edge.

The image is normally printed directly on Forex PVC foam board without glass although other finishing options are available such as aluminium Dibond or acrylic glass.

The frame is a fixed depth of 35 mm. We typically supply a black frame but natural wood, white and dark brown are also available.

[learn_more caption=”Photo Print under Acrylic Glass”]

Original photo print under acrylic glass – mounted on an aluminium Dibond base

This is the option many commercial galleries and hotels use and the results are simply stunning. The acrylic glass gives the image depth and brilliance that makes a real impact.

After printing, an original photo print is mounted on an aluminium Dibond base. A sheet of Acrylic “glass” is then sealed directly on top using elastic silicone.

In addition to the many optical advantages, acrylic glass is lighter and tougher than traditional glass and offers protection against UV rays and loss of colour.

It’s an expensive process compared to Forex or even canvas but the results are truly worth it and the print size can be up to 3 meters.
